From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally W, first on US20 then ORE242, for 10.0 miles to the intersection with the Cross District Trail. Park and hike generally SE for 1.0 mile on the dirt road, then cross-country about 1030' SSW to the corner.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe in a mound of stones; rising 5"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There is a NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS sign mounted on a U-post which bears S, 40" distant. In addition, there are LAND SURVEY MONUMENT and NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS signs on a second U-post which bears W, 36" distant. Found three trees (one snag and one 8' tall stump) each with a washer nailed in a scribed blaze, which is painted red. The trees each have a yellow BEARING TREE tag and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. Also found a sizable boulder with pink flagging tape tied to a PK nail at the center of a chiseled X.


What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest; this quarter corner is also AP 112 on the Three Sisters Wilderness boundary.
