Em 1761 as freiras do Mosteiro da Madre de Deus de Monchique (quando era abadessa Marcelina Angela Rosa) mandam edificar esta Armazém, para isso as freiras contratam para a obra os mestres pedreiros Miguel José, António Francisco Bartolomeu da Silva e António Moreira.

Em 1958 no edifício estava instalado o Quartel da Sede do Batalhão n.º 3 da Guarda Fiscal.

In 1761 the nuns of the Monastery of the Mother of God of Monchique (when it was abbess Marcelina Angela Rosa) build this warehouse, so for that the nuns contract for the work the master masons Miguel José, António Francisco Bartolomeu da Silva and António Moreira.

In 1958 in the building was installed the Headquarters of the Battalion n3 of the GNR Fiscal Guard.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
