A plaque, erected by the Shire of Wandering, commemorates the school building (1940-1946) relocated from Coranning in 1940. The school was opened on 5 February 1940, Miss P. Medlin being the teacher followed by Miss Tess Matthews. The school functioned until 22 March 1946, when it was closed and a school bus service to Pingelly commenced.
The site is a reminder of the early development of the district, when small settlements developed and schools were required due to the sufficient number of children, but ceased to exist when the numbers declined
Age/Event Date: 5 Feb 1940, 22 March 1946
