Lizzie has the Woodmen Circle emblem on her side of the headstone, so she was the Woodmen. K.T. has the emblem of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks on his side. This is an impressive slab monument, with a palm at the top, the family name, "Denton", down low, and a column on each side. The inscription is:

Lizzie E. Benton
Dec. 25, 1859,
Nov. 28, 1913.

K.T. Benton
Apr. 17, 1856,
Jan. 15, 1914.

With the Lord there is mercy.
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
