Eight 1870-era officers' quarters buildings, now private resort homes, are located along Fort Clark's historic Officers' Row, on Colony Row Dr. Each carried a Texas historical marker medallion, but none has a plate to go with it.
These buildings are listed as contributing buildings to the Fort Clark National Register Historic District. From the US National Register Nomination Form narrative on the Texas Historic Sites Atlas: (

"Constructed along the west and south sides of the parade ground, the officers' quarters ( map # 17A-H, photo # 3, ca. 1870) consist of two story structures made to accommodate two families each with identical floorplans on either side of a dividing wall. Large porches with diagonal bracing (most of which are now enclosed with wire mesh screens) enhance the front facades and dormer windows pierce the steep pitch gable roofs. The interiors were finished with milled lumber brought in from San Antonio and Bastrop."
Today these historic buildings are used as vacation homes on the Fort Clark Springs resort.
