If you have ever seen the movie "The Black Robe" about the Catholic missionaries dispatched to Lake Huron, then you will recognize the history described briefly in one of the plaques featured in the photo gallery dating back to 1615.

One detail I consider essential for any potential parishioner (service hours) is clearly posted on the main door and on a portable sign in the parking lot:
