The Texas Trail of Fame website (see link) has a depiction of Mr. Tubb, as well as this short biography:
Nicknamed "The Texas Troubadour," Tubb was one of the pioneers of country music. He wrote "Walking the Floor Over You" in 1941, one of the early examples of a music genre known as honky tonk. During his career Tubb, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and his band the Texas Troubadours recorded more than 250 songs and sold more than 30 million records. He is credited with helping remove the term "Hillbilly" from country and western music.
