"Mira d’Aire caves were discovered in 1947, but it took six years to know the entire track, which is now opened to the public. These are the greatest caves in the country. They stand out for their indisputable beauty, revealed by the Stalactites’ Route, which includes several rooms: the imposing “Big Room” (1st well); the magically coloured “Red Room”; the sparkling “Jewelry”; the “Majestic Dome” (2nd well) and the abrupt descend to the “Gallery”. As you walk along these winding galleries for hundreds of meters, you will have the chance to contemplate the weirdest and most diversified limestone formations, such as the jellyfish, the small lakes, the Martian, the hell’s mouth and the organ. Your attention should also be drawn to the small brooks and the black river. Its sprinkling waters flow into the Great Lake, pouring down the waterfall. Here you can also see a great final show of water, light and sound. Outside the caves, there is an aquatic park, where both grown-ups and kids will have a lot of fun."
