The old log C. O. Card house was built in 1887 by Charles Ora Card, the leader of the initial group of Latter Day Saints to arrive in Canada. It is the oldest building standing in Cardston and one of the oldest in Alberta.

The mural, though it does not state, most likely is of the Card Family arriving in the Cardston area.

The artists are Penrod, and Penny Corradine of Wolfpack Studio and completed in 2005.
