From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally W for 5.9 miles, first on US20 and then on ORE242. Turn left onto FR1018 and continue for 3.9 miles. Turn right onto FR1024, continue for 0.7 miles to FR1040-730 and park. Hike for 0.7 miles on -730 and, at a switchback, continue on -720 for an additional 1.4 miles to a second switchback. The corner is about 1800' SW, cross-country through thick brush and blowdown.

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There are NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post which bears S, 5' distant. Found a ponderosa pine and a Douglas fir snag with scribed blazes, painted red. Both have a washer nailed in the blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT on the backside.
