EN: This stone fountain located in the visitor area of Grenchen Airport. It is a raw block of granite with a small fountain in the middle and spirally incised watercourses.
The fountain was erected in 1972 to commemorate the founder of the airport Adolf Schild (1879 to 1972).
The inscription on the fountains says:
"Dem Initianten Adolf Schild 1879-1972
und den Mitbegründern und Pionieren
des Flughafens Grenchen"
(To the founder Adolf Schild 1879-1972
and the co-founders and pioneers
of the airport Grenchen)
DE: Dieser Steinbrunnen befindet sich in der Besucherzone des Flughafens Grenchen. Es ist ein roher Granitblock mit einem kleinen Springbrunnen in der Mitte und spiralartig eingeschnittenen Wasserläufen.
Der Brunnen wurde 1972 zur Erinnerung an den Gründer des Flughafens Adolf Schild (1879-1972) errichtet.
