This bench was placed as part of an Eagle Scout Project that was dedicated in 2006 honoring all World War II Veterans int the city of Uniontown. There are 15 benches in the WWII memorial area alone at the Fayette County Courthouse Complex. Names on the granite plaques, total over 3,000 individuals from the City of Uniontown who served their country in its time of need.
This bench was donated by the local Walmart as a benefaction gesture for their goodwill toward the redevelopment of this memorial, it honors all veterans, living and deceased.
