This bench was placed as part of an Eagle Scout Project that was dediccated in 2006 honoring all World War II Veterans int the city of Uniontown. There are 15 benches in the WWII memorial area alone at the Fayette County Courthouse Complex. Names on the granite plaques, total over 3,000 individuls from the City of Uniontown who served their country in its time of need.
This bench honors two veterans from Uniontown, a father and son duo, who gave their service for their country in the times of need. Their wife and mother, respectively, was a benefactor of this memorial , of which granted the space for this bench at the memorial.
