Start from the Scott Pass Trailhead which is generally WSW, by road 13 miles distant from the Sisters Ranger Station. Hike W from the kiosk on the trail for 320', then S cross-county for about 1680' to the corner.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe in a mound of stones; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There are two U-posts with LAND SURVEY MONUMENT and NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS signs. These bear W and S respectively, both 3' distant. There are two reference monuments, 2" aluminum caps each in a rock collar and with a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post, 2' behind. Also found a burned snag with a scribed blaze, painted red. There is a washer nailed in the blaze and a yellow BEARING TREE tag.

What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest; this corner, on the Third Standard Parallel South, is also AP 115 on the Three Sisters Wilderness boundary.
