Marie Frey is interred in the Didsbury Cemetery located on 16th Avenue near Sandpiper Drive. She is one of three centenarians we located while visiting the Didsbury Cemetery.

Marie Frey was born in 1895 and passed away in 1998 at the age of 103. She was married to Amsey Frey and it is unknown if they had children. Amsey Frey predeceased Marie and died in 1973 at the age of 90.

During Marie's lifetime; some of the events that took place were World Wars I and II and the Boer War in South Africa and Korean War. Also events that took place, locally, were the Frank Slide and the Hillcrest Explosion. Alberta became a province of Canada in 1905.

Also occurred were in 1981 the West Edmonton Mall opened, becoming the world's largest shopping center at that time and in 1988 the Winter Olympics were held in Calgary.
