Killabakh Mountain is on the southern rim of the Comboyne plateau, which drains rather into the Hastings Valley Catchment. While the southern side of Killabakh Mountain drains into the Manning Valley Catchment.
The best access is from the eastern side off the Wingham/Comboyne Road, on the Yellow Rock Creek Trail.
The summit commands views to the north, east, southeast and south. The western side has not been burnt for quite a while in a bushfire and there is a lot of young growth preventing good view that way.
While the local office of the National Parks and Wildlife Service declined the possibility of having a geocache placed at the summit there is an informal summit register in the stone cairn trig station.
On my visit in October 2014 I actually came up the rough and tough western side where there is no track - not really recommended.
Altitude in Feet: 2844
