Mary Green was born in 1882 and passed away in 1987 at the age of 105. She married Roland Green, it is unknown how many children they had. Roland and two children, Event and Virgil, are also interred with Mary Green.

Some of the events that took place during Mary Green lifetime were World Wars I and II and the Boer and Korean Wars. Also events that took place, locally, were the Frank Slide and the Hillcrest Explosion.

Also occurred were in 1981 the West Edmonton Mall opened, becoming the world's largest shopping center at that time and in 1988 Winter Olympics were held in Calgary, Alberta.

The Crossfield Cemetery is one of the larger cemeteries in the area with the exception of Calgary. There are approximately 1,325 interments and is still active with the most recent known burial in 2014. The cemetery is approximately 10 acres in size and was established in the early 1900s.

Crossfield is within Rocky View County. As a rail station on the Calgary to Edmonton (C&E) line of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Crossfield was founded in 1892. Crossfield was named after an engineer with the Canadian Pacific Railway survey crew.

By 1904, the community had a post office, a general store, a hotel and a school. In 1906, the first grain elevator opened and Crossfield was incorporated as a village in 1907. In 1980, Crossfield incorporated as a town.
