The Krepps Bridge is a 24 foot long covered bridge that spans Cherry Creek for Covered Bridge Road in Mount Pleasant Township, Washington County. The bridge is located about 4.3 miles south east of Burgettstown, and about 2.3 miles east of the intersection of PA 18 and Covered Bridge Road. It has a simple king post truss and has a 3 ton load limit. The bridge is painted barn red and has a corrugated metal roof. The overall condition of the bridge is fair. There are some missing exterior planks, wood rot, and the paint is peeling badly in places. The bridge has been subjected to a moderate amount of graffiti inside. We could not find a date or plaque on the bridge. A few replaced boards and a paint job would help this bridge immensely.
There is a wide spot to park a short distance from the bridge (coordinates N40 20.435 W80 19.882). Covered Bridge Road, although extremely narrow, is one of the most beautiful roads that we have ever seen. See Photos.
