The historical marker provides text in Lithuanian and English. The English text reads:

"This church is a part of Vilnius University. Built immediately after the conversion of Lithuania to Christianity in 1387, it was a Gothic church, enlarged by the Jesuits in 1571. After a fire in 1748, it was remodelled in Baroque by J.K. Glaubitz, and in the 19th century the interior acquired Classical features. However, the Late Baroque style is predominant. The interior boasts a majestic composition of ten altars, stained-glass windows, vault paintings and the largest organ in Lithuania. The bell tower (68m) is the tallest in the Old Town."
Group that erected the marker: City of Vilnius
