2-1/2" brass cap on galvanized iron pipe in a mound of stones; rising 7"

Start from the Jack Lake Trailhead which is generally NW, by road 24 miles distant from the Sisters Ranger Station. The angle point bears NNE, about 1970' distant from the kiosk at the edge of the parking area. Most of this travel is through thick manzanita and ponderosa pine regrowth. LAND SURVEY MONUMENT and NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS signs are mounted on a U-post which bears N, 7' distant. Also found two ponderosa pine snags with scribed blazes. There is a yellow BEARING TREE tag nailed to one.
