An elegant an evocative memorial lists the names of the men of Laredo who served and died in World War I.
The Memorial is made of two blocks of rough carved granite, one in the shape of a square, and the other a rectangular base. The square block rests solidly on the base. It features a carved and polished American flag draped over the left corner of the monument. Just off-center, an engraved panel inset into the rough stone reads as follows:
