This bronze sculpture of three irises (and an unopened bud) was created by Steve Palmerton/The Crucible. The sculpture is about 36" high, and it is mounted on a base about 18" high. It stands in front of The Hope Center, a non-profit organization which helps families in need.
The sculpture is a memorial to Judy Perry Phipps (6/23/56 - 4/27/14), presented by her family, partnering with the Edmond Visual Arts Commission. Judy Phipps' obituary indicates, among other things, that she was a Master Gardener and apparently, irises were a favorite of hers.
