Cut benchmark on the south west angle, south west face of the church tower.

Apparently there used to be a bolt and intersected station at this location also, but as the church tower is leaning slightly the 'cetre' and bolt have been destroyed as they presumably have moved.

This church bestrides a ridge to the north-east of the town of Watton, and is visible for miles around. Carbrooke is a sizeable village with its own school, but the church sits above parkland and meadowland, ruling all it surveys.
