"Goudreau, Albert D.
Albert D. Goudreau - Pueblo Chieftain - August 24, 1998 - Albert D. Goudreau, Col. (USA retired). Born March 19, 1917, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Emma Querbach Goudreau and Fred J. Goudreau. He received a B.A. from Western Michigan University and a M.A. from Michigan State University. Al served in the U.S. Army from 1942 until his retirement in 1971. He attended the Chinese Language School at Yale University and served in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. Other assignments included: the Pentagon, Ankara, Turkey, Fort Leavenworth, Kan., Fort Benning, Ga., Vietnam, Tokyo, Japan, Chicago, Ill., and his last assignment as Professor of Military Science at USC in Pueblo from 1969-71. After his retirement from the Army, he served as Director of Personnel and Assistant to the Dean at USC. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Rotary No. 43, Elks No. 90, Retired Officers' Association, Pachyderms and Pueblo Country Club. He served on the boards of director of the American Red Cross, the Boy Scouts of America and Presbyterian Towers. Al is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Kools Goudreau- two daughters, Joan and Stan Brown of Federal Way, Wash., and Sue and Jack Marshall of Austin, Texas- five grandchildren, Lisa Amarino, Bret Brown and Barry Brown of Federal Way, Wash., and John Marshall Jr. and Steven Marshall of Austin, Texas- and two great-granddaughters. Also survived by sister-in-law, Agnes (Dick) Jones- stepsister, Bettye (Jim) Mahieu- and stepbrother, Harold Jones. A will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 3 p.m. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, both at 720 N. Main, Pueblo, Colo. 81003." (from (visit link) )
