D.C. police are investigating the report of a male being stabbed Wednesday night in Chinatown, officials said.
Police found the victim inside the Chinatown-Gallery Place Metro station near 7th and F streets NW after he reportedly entered the station following the attack, just before 8 p.m., said Officer Paul Metcalf, a D.C. police spokesman. The condition of the victim, who was not identified, could not be learned immediately.
Investigators were trying to determine where the incident took place.
Authorities were told two females were seen fleeing the area on foot.
Caroline Laurin, a Metro spokeswoman said transit officials briefly closed the 7th and F street entrance during the investigation, but rail service was not affected. The entrance reopened about 8:30 p.m."
