The mark is a Washington State Department of Transportation survey disk, stamped ---WASHINGTON 1995---, set in the top of a small boulder about 3 feet wide, 4 feet long, and projecting about 6 inches. It is in between the parking lot and the beach, 6.8 feet northwest of the west edge of a paved parking lot and 4.0 feet southwest of the center of a drain grate. To reach the mark from the intersection of 12th Street and Commercial Avenue in Anacortes, go west on 12th Street(State Highway Spur Route 20) which becomes Oakes Avenue(Spur 20) for about 3.1 miles to the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Spur 20 going north to the ferry terminal. Continue straight ahead (west) on Sunset Avenue for about 0.8 mile to Washington Park and a t-road west leading to the beach.
