This monument has the floral decoration that is common to many zinc markers. The main panel has a set of clasped hands below "G.W. Spikes", with this inscription:

G.W. Long

Born
Nov. 23, 1844,
Died
Nov. 3, 1869.

On the plinth is the family name, "Spikes". The side panels are blank, while the rear panel has a funeral wreath and "1882" on the plinth, presumably the year this monument was placed.
