The majority of the business section of Didsbury consists of brick buildings, and for a very good reason - FIRE! This Main Street building did not replace a burned one from the 1914 fire until the 1920s.

Old Garage
This building was originally built as a repair shop in the 1920s and early on was occupied by a fellow named Teskey and then the Gochee brothers. Around 1930, the Reifenstein family moved to this location and operated a garage for many years. Apparently, it was also used as armory storage for a while and eventually housed an autobody shop operated by Alex Coulter and Murray Anderson. In 1980 Paul Kinghorn purchased the building from Joe Wolf to open a glass shop, which was partially converted to Tuggle's insurance office in 1985. Vanda Agencies Ltd. purhased the insurance business in 1989 and the building in 1994.
