This sign, along the Tempe Town Lake North bank path, speaks to the native species being reintroduced to the Salt River bed and banks.

This sign introduces the native trees that once lined the river and now are being reintroduced to the river bank and the river bed. The area is located down stream from the dam at Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona. The sign discusses the types of riparian areas and the Mesquite, Palo Verde and Acacia trees that composed them. The reverse, or western facing side of the sign gives tips for tree identification. The sign was funded by the State Urban and Community Forestry Program Community Challenge Grant.
