Hidalgo Plaza has a lot of potential, but needs some serious TLC.
A ping granite marker proclaims that this public space wasa created in celebration of the Bicentennial in 1976. The marker reads as follows:
"HIDALGO PLAZA
This Plaza is dedicated to and honors all those who used God's gifts to create a heritage and future we celebrate in Hidalgo County, the city of Edinburg, Texas on this sixth day of March of the bicentennial year of our nation, 1976"
