This Flood Control marker is located on the North side of the Salt River in Tempe, Arizona.

This Flood Control marker is located on the North side of the river bed, West of the Tempe Town Lake dam. It is composed of a gray metal disk within a ring of rusted metal embedded in concrete. Stamped in an arc on the top of the disk is Flood Control Dist. Across the bottom is Maricopa County. The face of the disk has two raised oblong areas separated by a +. On the top one is stamped 85+00. The bottom one has no inscription. The marker is 1814.57 feet west of the North end of the Tempe Town Lake pedestrian bridge on a heading of 279.92 degrees. It is approximately 18" South of the southern edge of the sidewalk.
