This well-etched marble monument in the center of the
Crane Community Cemetery has no designation on it to indicate who placed it here. But since the cemetery was established by the local Masonic lodge, and was maintained by the lodge until the late 1990s, it is most probable that it was the Crane Masonic lodge #519 that placed this Veteran Memorial. (That lodge later merged with the Galena lodge.)
