This is a set of five "garum" tanks in Quinta do Lago, Southern Portugal

These tanks were built in the 2nd Century b.C. with the intent of salting fish and producing "garum". Tha tanks were waterproof thanks to "opus signinum", a substance made of lime, sand and smashed brick.
