"Full-length figure of a Civil War soldier. He wears a uniform, overcoat and cap. A pouch hangs from his proper right shoulder. He holds the barrel of a rifle with both hands. The stock of the gun rests on the ground in front of him. The bronze sculpture stands atop a tall granite pedestal."
