[DE] Die Brunnenanlage symbolisiert mit den drei Mühlensteinen den Wegfall des ehemals an dieser Stelle beheimateten Mühlenbetriebes sowie gleichzeitig die Entstehung einer neuen Ortsmitte mit dem Rathaus.
Rathausplatz und Brunnenanlage wurden mit Mitteln des Bundes und des Landes aus dem Konjunkturpaket II gefördert. Die Realisierung der Brunnenanlage erfolgte zudem mit Unterstützung des Kultur- und Verschönerungsvereins Bordesholmer Land e.V. sowie Spendengeldern.
Die Steine wurden von Guntis Pandars aus Kekava, der Partnerstadt von Bordesholm gefertigt.
[ENG] The three millstones symbolizes the formerly mill at this point, and at the same time the emergence of a new town center with the town hall. Town Hall Square and fountain were funded by the federal and the state from the economic stimulus package. The construction of the well also was supported by the Cultural and Beautification Society Bordesholmer Land eV and donations.
The bricks were manufactured by Guntis Pandars from Kekava, the twin city of Bordesholm.
