The Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre opened on April 14, 1948 as the first drive-in theatre in Lakeland, Florida, and it is now the only remaining drive-in in town. The second screen was added in 1985. The Silver Moon shows mostly first run movies, with a double feature seven nights a week. Audio is broadcast over FM or AM car radio, and some rows have traditional in-car speakers.
A flea market and swap shop is in operation Saturday and Sunday mornings from 5:50am until noon.
