Major Lillie's star is located on the north side of E Exchange Ave, in front of Fincher's, and it says:

"Pawnee Bill"
Fort Worth Stockyards

The Texas Trail of Fame website (see link) has a depiction of Major Lillie, as well as this short biography:

As a child in Kansas, Gordon William Lillie befriended the Pawnee Indians and idolized the West legends such as Wild Bill Hickok and Buffalo Bill Cody. As a young man he worked with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show as the Pawnee interpreter. This work with the show would give him his nickname Pawnee Bill. He started his own Wild West Show in 1888, and eventually bought out the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show, but returned a portion of it to Buffalo Bill when he was down on his luck. Pawnee Bill helped save the buffalo from extinction by keeping a herd on his ranch to preserve the breed.

About the Texas Trail of Fame: (visit link)

The Texas Trail of Fame was established in 1997 to honor those who have made a significant contribution to our Western way of life. Throughout the walkways of the Fort Worth National Historic District, bronze inlaid markers have been placed in honor of their achievements. The desire of the Texas Trail of Fame is to inspire and educate visitors through the adventure of reflecting on these Westerner’s accomplishments. Trail Guides are available at the Stockyards Visitor's information Center. So come on out to the Fort Worth Stockyards, grab a guide, and hit the trail!
