Occupying the eastern third of the building which later became the town office, the Union Meat Market didn't last long here, becoming Zak's Meat Market, which also eventually moved on to another building.

Union Meat Market
A one-story brick building with three retail spaces was constructed on two lots here in 1921. The Union Meat Market, later Zak's Meat Market, was on the right, the Blairmore Bakery was in the centre, and another business was on the left.

Paul Chardon started a grocery/confectionary here in 1928, moving from Mar Poy's building.
