Old US Hwy 50 was one of the longest coast-to-coast highways and runs parallel to the original Santa Fe Trail in Kansas and Colorado. For more info see (visit link) .

Pike's exploration included the party camping along the Arkansas River in the area that later became Pueblo. For more info see (visit link) .

Salt Creek (El Salado) was home to the early Hispanic settlers and later became a community of workers employed at the CFI Steel Mills. For more info see (visit link) .
