The Kleberg County War Memorial is located in a nice specially-constructed brick building built on the southwest corner of the Kleberg County Courthouse Square in downtown Kingsville. The memorial is somewhat odd in that it is air conditioned and locked up. Blasterz have seen a lot of veteran's memorials of all kinds, but not one like this.
On the outside of the 1970s-era building, the phrase Kleberg County War Memorial is emblazoned in large gold letters. Inside the building are wreaths and plaques, none of which we could get any closer to than the locked glass doors. To be honest, this building, while obviously built for the purpose of housing the memorial, reminds us of a small-bank ATM location in a small town in its size, layout, and shape.
