The library was located in the Saint Nicholas Church building. In 1281 was founded a monastery of Premonstratensians in this place. In 1665, during Slupsk Fire church and monastery were destroyed. The church was rebuilt in 1773. After 1740 was changed into warehouse and a coach house. Since 1771 the building serve as a school. Since March 10th, 1971 church serve as the Maria Dabrowska City Library.
