Roy's Hobby Shop is a located in a converted vintage movie theatre in downtown Kingsville, just a few steps east of the famed King Ranch Saddle Shop.
In small towns, retail outlets have to offer lots of different kinds of merchandise in their field in order to survive. Roy's carries anything and everything anyone who has a hobby might ever need. Roy's stocks a wide selection of artist and art supplies in all media (watercolors, drawing, painting, sculpting), in addition to guns and hunting supplies, coin and stamp collecting supplies, cell phone accessories, car, train, plane, and ship model kits, and even Mary Kay cosmetics (REALLY). They are the only artist supply in he triangle between Corpus Christi, Brownsville, and Laredo, so they had a very large stock of art supplies (we thought) for a small town store. Now we know why.
