A plaque at the base of a flagpole is dedicated in honor of Lance Corporal George Dramis, the last United States Marine to die in Lebanon. It is located on the grounds of the Hereford Lighthouse in North Wildwood, NJ.

Lance Corporal George Dramis was born on September 29, 1964 in Cape May Court House, NJ. After serving in George Dramis was born September 29, 1964 in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in September of 1980. He was assigned to the 22nd Marine Amphibious Unit. On October 18, 1983 the 22nd Marine Amphibious Unit departed from Morehead City, North Carolina on their way to to relieve the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit in Beirut Lebanon.
October 20, 1983 the unit was diverted to Grenada, where Lance Corporal George Dramis received a meritorious mast for his bravery. The unit was then sent to Beirut, Lebanon where they were part of Multi-National Peace Keeping Force stationed at the Beirut International Airport.
January 30, 1984 he was killed by a sniper. He was the last United States Marine to die in Lebanon. A bronze plaque on the grounds of the Hereford Lighthouse is inscribed.
