This 1 km (return) trail is an easy level path through the forest to the edge of the Grassy Narrows Marsh. A tower constructed at the end of the trail provides the best views of the southern portion of Hecla Island. As this is prime wildlife habitat, moose and deer may sometimes be seen from the tower, particularly at dawn and dusk. The signage at the trailhead recommends allowing 30 minutes to enjoy the walk and spend some time at the tower. Parking is available at the trailhead.
