Located on the front lawn on front of Metolius Elementary School is a bell housed inside a small tower. I've come across a number of old bells located in front of schools and churches and they usually represent the only remaining symbol of a prior school or church that once housed the bell. I'm assuming this bell once belonged to the previous school on this site before the current school was erected.
