The Blackstone Canal Historic District covers alot of area. One of the towns that the canal flowed thru was Uxbridge. The canal entered Uxbridge in the Ironstone section of South Uxbridge, continued on thru the center of Uxbridge and exited into the next town, Northbridge, in the Rice City Pond Area. The canal is visible in many spots in the Town of Uxbridge. Some of the more prominent remains are the mills in Uxbridge, such as the C.C. Capron Yarn Mill, the Central Woolen Mill (also known as the Stanley Woolen Mill), and Voss Farm.
