Artists Nancy Palermo and Susan Rau have coordinated to create this interesting mural. Depicted are 10 authors sitting on the beach with the Ocean City Boardwalk in the background. Identifying icons and/or books with the titles of their most famous works lie in the sand at their feet. The authors are:

Edgar Allan Poe - Raven picking up a ribbon with the word Nevermore
Stephen King - Misery and The Shining
J.K Rowling - Hogswarts sandcastle and a book with Harry Potter on the cover.
Gay Talese - Unto The Sons
Mark Twain - The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Ernest Hemingway - A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Old Man and the Sea
Margaret Atwood - A Handmaiden's Tale
William Shakespeare - Spelling out BARD in Atwood's crossword puzzle
