"Scruffy Murphy’s — Eneste ekte irske puben i Bergen Bergens enerådende irske pub ligger midt på Torget. To barer i to etasjer byr på irsk atmosfære, levende musikk, spennende øl, vin og mulighet for matservering. Den øverste etasjen kan stenges av og gi en ganske unik stemning til både business-møter og festlige arrangementer."

A sign on the front of the pub tells the story of the man Scruffy Murphy:
"SEAN PATRICK MURPHY known to friends and strangers alike as 'SCRUFFY' met and married Mary O'Brien the post mistress. Scruffy persuaded her to enter into a small business venture allowing him to sell whiskey & porter in a shop next door. The result was a thriving establishment called 'SCRUFFY MURPHY'S'. Scruffy emigrated to England during the potato famine in 1845, and now bringing his little drop of Ireland here to Bergen."
