EN: The Church "zum Guten Hirten" (of the Good Shepherd) is located in Weil am Rhein in the western town district Friedlingen. It was built in 1955-57 by the architect Hermann Berger and inaugurated on November 10, 1957.
The church is 34.5 meters long, 19 meters wide and 13 meters high. The free-standing 35 meters high bell tower is connected by a small bridge with the nave. Next to it there are several outbuildings, such as rectory, kindergarten or caretaker's house.
DE: Die Kirche zum Guten Hirten befindet sich in Weil am Rhein im westlichen Stadtteil Friedlingen. Sie wurde 1955-57 nach Plänen des Architekten Hermann Berger erbaut und am 10. November 1957 eingeweiht.
Die Kirche ist 34.5 Meter lang, 19 Meter breit und 13 Meter hoch. Der freistehende 35 Meter hohe Glockenturm ist über eine kleine Brücke mit dem Kirchenschiff verbunden. Daneben befinden sich noch diverse Nebengebäude, wie Pfarrhaus, Kindergarten oder Hausmeisterwohnung.
