AY0801 - X510 - 1953 - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark is set in a round cement monument off the south side of Mauermann Road and is about 9 miles west of Pleasanton Road and about 1 mile east from S. Zarzamora Street in southern Bexar County, TX. The benchmark and the monument on which it is mounted are in very good condition.

Unfortunately, the condition of the general roadway is less than impressive, at least at the time of discovery of the waymark and its posting. Lots of illegally discarded bedding (mattresses and/or box springs) are interspersed with truckloads of tree trimmings dumped carelessly along both sides of Mauermann Rd.

To motivate those who geocache, at the time of posting this waymark, there was a geocache (GCQZ3K) very close by.
